The Light Between Us is a gathering for photographers who long for connection, creativity, and shared light —
a place where we become more than an Instagram account.
Held twice in March, as we turn to spring, and twice in Autumn, as the light softens again,
these retreats are a quiet celebration of the seasons — a pause before and after the busy months of shooting.
A chance to reset, reconnect, and return to your work with fresh energy and intention.
Each retreat is an intimate, two-night stay filled with conversation, inspiration, and the freedom to explore your craft in a supportive environment.
Expect a mix of group shoots, honest talks, shared meals, and quiet moments that remind you why you started creating in the first place.
Twice a year, we gather to celebrate the light — and each other.

A Note from Me
I created The Light Between Us from a craving to connect and build a network in an industry that can sometimes feel competitive and isolating.
This event is a reminder that we are more than an Instagram account with a number of followers — we are humans who share the same passion for this art.
I’ve always loved bringing people together around a shared interest, and that’s what inspired this creative retreat.
Please note that this is not a workshop. There’s no structured teaching — instead, it’s a space to connect, collaborate, and create alongside others who understand the ups and downs of this craft.
You’ll find the chance to make new friends in the industry, shoot together, and refresh your portfolio in beautiful, inspiring locations.
My aim is to keep this event affordable and open, so we can come together, share ideas, and feel a little less alone.
It doesn’t mean you won’t learn anything new — you will, but through sharing, observing, and simply being part of a creative community.

Her vision of photographers coming together to create in a safe space with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere was so excellently delivered. The Airbnb was so cute and the perfect backdrop for two amazing sessions, whilst the beach for the third session was equally as pretty.
It was a weekend of art and relationship building without any pressure. Whilst I love attending education workshops this gave a certain freedom.

What’s Included
Over the weekend, I’ll organise four styled sessions, each thoughtfully designed to inspire and challenge you.
The group will be split into two — 4 and 4 photographers per session — with one assistant helping us stay on track and offering support where needed.
You’ll have the chance to photograph each setup, connect with models, and build new work for your portfolio.
We’ll also be taking new headshots of each other, so your clients can finally put a face to your name!
Included in the price:
Two nights’ shared accommodation, either at the main shoot location or in a nearby second space
Four styled sessions (fully organised and styled)
A relaxed, collaborative environment where everyone can create freely
We will be taking new headshots of each other so your clients know what you look like!
Accommodation note:
I’ll always do my best to provide separate beds for each attendee, but depending on the space, this might not always be possible.
This event welcomes both men and women, though so far, only women have attended.
If a man joins a future retreat, we’ll ensure separate sleeping arrangements are made.

Food and drinks (please bring your own)
One meal will be shared at a lovely local pub

Please note: The locations listed above are where some of our sessions will take place. We’ll be staying in separate accommodation nearby, and I’ll do my best to book somewhere as close as possible to keep travel to a minimum. You’ll need a car to get around, but we can carpool once we’re all together.

"The Light Between Us" is the perfect name for this event. Alba had planned such an amazing weekend from start to finish, I was so nervous, but I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies. The things I learnt, the stories we shared, to "cheers'ing" over fancy soup in espresso cups at a restaurant after a full day of photographing three beautiful families, to laughing about the nighttime spiders! It was all perfect!
